Fees & billing

Yes. Wallan Doctors will be a fully bulk billing practice for eligible services. Eligible Medicare services will be bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card, so there will be no gap to pay for those services. A small number of services that are not covered by Medicare may carry a cost, and we will always tell you before your appointment.

Bulk billing applies to eligible services covered by Medicare. Things Medicare does not cover — such as some travel vaccines (the vaccine itself), pre-employment, insurance or licence medicals, and appointments for people without a valid Medicare card — may carry a cost. We will always explain any cost before your appointment.

Yes. Bulk billing applies to patients with a valid Medicare card (or DVA card) for eligible services. If you are not eligible for Medicare, for example an overseas visitor, a fee will apply and we will tell you before your appointment.

Please bring your Medicare card, any concession or DVA cards, a list of your current medicines, and any recent test results or letters from other doctors. This helps your GP understand your health history.
